Destined For Grace School
The mission of Destined for Grace is to provide an education to children in Mirebalais, Haiti.
We are doing just that!
Ecole Destined For Grace educates and feeds students in Pre-K through 6th grade.
Ecole Destined for Grace has had a challenging few years due to the political strife that continues in Haiti. The situation in Haiti can be dangerous and volatile at times. We are in constant communication with our school’s Project Manager and actively making decisions to keep our campus, employees and students safe. We monitor the situation daily and when necessary close down our campus in an effort to keep everyone out of harm’s way. Our staff have put together work packets four our students to complete on days that are too dangerous to come to school. The students remained committed to their studies and are excited about learning. They are full of strength and determination and continue to grow physically, academically and spiritually. Our students and their families are a close knit community and constant support system for one another. Our students love to be in school and we will continue to do everything we can to make that possible in these uncertain times. With the support of our generous sponsors we are able to offer school supplies, textbooks, extracurricular activities and a wide variety of food offered through our meal program. We are thrilled by the results we have seen in these students over the years and the progress they have made. Their determination to take their studies seriously is inspiring!
You can help our students achieve this academic success by sponsoring their education. For $125 a year you can sponsor a child at Ecole Destined For Grace. The $125 covers a student’s tuition, uniform, school supplies and a hot meal each day. You can sponsor a student by sending in a check to our P.O. box, donating online through PayPal or visiting one of our stores.
Our students and their families are responsible for contributing $1 a month toward their students education. The rest of the cost is covered through your sponsorships and funds raised at our thrift stores. We require the families to pay a small fee so that they feel involved and take ownership of their child’s education. We are currently accepting sponsorships for the 2023/2024 school year!
Student Dreams
We asked the students: What goals do you have for the future, after finishing your studies?
My name is Betianie Leo. I am 8 years old and in 2nd grade. I like my school because of the quality of education they give me. They teach me very well and they celebrate all the holidays with us. When I finish school, I want to be an agronomist because I want to plant trees and grow food in my country.
Please support our projects and help us to continue providing a well balanced education to Haitian children! First Day of School Video
